When you install your antenna, it should be facing the transmitting tower. {Do your research and figure out where the closest TV transmitting tower is. Do some research work, find out where the nearest transmission tower is and be sure to face the front of your antenna toward it. Your connectors must be sealed. If the antenna gets damaged, signal loss is imminent. The longer the cable runs, and the more splitters the signal must pass through, the more signal loss. When there’s an electrical surge, a well-grounded antenna won’t be as badly damaged. This is usually done using a coaxial surge protector. Without grounding, your antenna is in danger of getting damaged by lightning.
